Make-up Storage?

So, at the moment I am trying to organize my make-up so I won't have to spill everything whenever I am in a hurry or whatever. Do you have any posts on your blogs about make-up storage? Or just idea? If so please tell me/ link me in comments, I will be forever grateful! :)

By the way, I made some temporary changes on this blog, found a new template and I think I made it look more decent until I will actually have time to work more on it.

Vichy Lip Balm review

So, I thought of reviewing one of my lipbalms I had the highest hopes for when I got it, since lipcare is essential during every season, especially now in wintertime, when they are much more exposed to the abuse of cold weather. Maybe about 2 months ago, mom bought me this lipbalm by Vichy, a company I always found as being pretty reliable (still testing their hair treatment). I can pretty much say this lipbalm is not the best, especially if you are outside a lot. It has a soft consistency, pleasant to apply, though it is not at all thick and it doesn't feel too moisturizing. In fact, it feels very light, feels like it just evaporates too quickly and doesn't seem to leave a lasting effect behind. Does not stop my lips from drying out and peeling all the time. It does not have any color, which I kinda' like in a lipbalm, so there is not much use to swatch it.

Pros:
  • nice, pleasant, discrete smell (though it smells more perfume-like, so not a genuine fruity/'delicious' lipbalm smell)
  • light consistency, pleasant to apply
  • doesn't leave disgusting white lines on the sides of the lips
Cons:
  • doesn't feel too moisturizing, neither does it seem to leave any of that effect behind after it goes off
  • in my case at least, it makes the lips feel dry actually...well all in all, it does not improve their condition,, maybe only for the moment, when you apply it.
Would I buy it again? I don't think so, though I don't know the price since I didn't buy it myself, but it should be pretty pricy since it's Vichy. Tried to apply a thick layer before going to sleep, it's a good trick to moisturize lips deeply over night, but that didn't show much result either. I have something much cheaper, by Nivea though, even if I had bad experiences with A LOT of their lip balms, this one seems to work much better. I will review that one too, soon!

Farmasi Nail Polish

Yes yes, I am aware that my blog looks rather horrible because of the color combination! (though except for the purple I kinda like it a bit....in the weird way :-?? ) Thing is, I tried to create another layout, I failed, and it did this all by itself. Will work on it later. Anyaway!

I haven't talked about nailpolish yet I think, so I will talk about a favourite now. It's by Farmasi and it's number 031, a really dark plum. I am a sucker for dark colors, especially when it comes to eyeshadow and nails. I have a lot of Farmasi polishes, especially because there is a pretty large variety of colours, great price and the quality didn't disappoint me either. This is the 7th day I have this on, I applied 2 layers, NO top coat because I was in a hurry. I took a really bad picture today, with bad light, so you can see that it only went off a bit at the tip of the nails, the rest is still put.
So yes, I apologize for the quality but I don't have something better at the moment. I will do a post with my nailpolish collection soon. What is your opinion about Farmasi polishes?

Blackest Black?

Help please!!! Please suggest me some very very pigmented black eyeshadow! I am running out of the last black in the 120 palette, though it wasn't as pitch black as I wished it would be... I had a black mono eyeshadow by Maybelline longer ago, I might just buy that, but please give me some ideas if you know any good ones! I would appreciate it! (I won't mind if the price and amount of product is reasonable).

Hair treatments

Do you have thinning hair/ hairloss/ breakage problems? I've damaged my hair a lot, bleached it, colored it for years, now I am trying to bring it back to life. I bought something to try, Vichy Aminactif Combleur, shampoo and serum, so far it seems ok, I will give it more time to see if it will have any impressive results. What do you use for similar hair problems? Any advice would be appreciated!
By the way I also use homemade treatments, these mainly include lots of castor oil - good stuff!

Anti-cellulite experiment

Eventhough I've never believed in anti-cellulitic 'magic potion' lotions, I have decided to try some anti-cellulite treatments, since I've bumped into them anyway. So as most women confront this problem at some point, regardless of their weight (yes, skinny girls can have cellulite too),  I have started experimenting with 2 anti-cellulite creams, along with the usual alternate showers (switching water temperature from hot to cold a few times, at the end of a shower) and body scrubs.
The first one and the one I am currently using is Cellulight by Elmiplant. It seems to be the harshest one of the two. It has a strong smell, very 'spicy', you feel the skin getting warm from it. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that is stings my wrists where the skin is sensitive (since, during the massage, some of it can get on the wrists, obviously) and turns the skin red. Another inconvenient is that the consistency is very thick, makes it harder to work with.

The second one is simply called anti-cellulite cream (Cremă Anticelulitică) by Gerovital Plant. The smell is more bearable and pleasant, the consistency is also much more creamy and fluid, much easier to work with, but I have just tried it once or twice so far, to compare their texture, smell and other shallow features.

The real deal is to see which one will be more effective? If any. So far, about the first one I can just say that it seems to make the skin slightly more firm and smooth. I will be back with the results on this!

**What experiences did you have with anti-cellulite products so far, or just other simiar 'bodyshape enhancement' products? Feel free to comment!

Review: Some Stargazer Products

This time, I will write about some products I've tried longer ago. I'll take a time machine, travel a few years back and tell you the impression they left me. I am talking about two Stargazer products.
The first one is an eyeshadow, I had it in the bright neon orange shade below. What I can tell you that I am not fond of either of the two products, to be honest. This eyeshadow was extremely chalky, would not give a proper color, needed to apply many layers even on primer. I still used it for a more edgy highlight in the inner eye corner, as I try to take use of any kind of make-up, regardless of quality. Once I dropped it and it broke to tiny pieces, luckily the lid was on and it stayed in the little box, so I used it as an eyedust. It was good in a way, since that made it more easier to obtain the wanted color.
Next up is their black lipstick, the former version of it. I could hardly work with it. It was very oily and hard, had much trouble applying it and it was sticky. I got it from someone though and that person might have had it for a while before that, 1 to 2 years at most, but I have lipsticks older than that, that still work perfectly. I know it is not good to keep products for too long, but I personally am strict about that only with allover skin products like foundations, concealers, powders, and other products that might become  troublesome to handle.

Nonetheless, I would give their products another try, also the ones that are released more recently. If I can get my hands on any Stargazer products, I will let you know if my opinion improves!
